Welcome to Sleep Medicine Consultants
Our web site is designed to let patients know what to expect from a visit to a sleep specialist and our office, in particular. Healthcare ProvidersOur practice consist of 5 healthcare providers headed by J. Douglas Hudson, MD, Board Certified in both Sleep Medicine and Neurology. Also on staff, Edward H. Ortiz, M.D. is Board Certified in Sleep Medicine and Pulmonology. The doctors are assisted with patient care by three midlevel providers: Rhonda Biles, PA-C, Karen Blakley, RN, CNS, and Mary Youngwith, RN, FNP-C. When you make an appointment, it is to see one of our healthcare providers for consultation. You are not making an appointment for a sleep study. Sleep studies are ordered only if considered necessary by your provider after your consultation in the office. Our goal is to help our patients better understand their sleep disorder and then execute the best treatment to improve the quality of their sleep and subsequently their life.
