Bhavim Desai, M.D.
Family Medicine, Sleep Medicine
Bhavim Desai is a board certified Family Medicine and Sleep Medicine Physician. Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Dr. Desai earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina, where he graduated cum laude with a major in Finance and Information Systems. He completed medical school at the University of South Carolina.

Dr. Desai pursued his residency at St. Mary Mercy in Livonia, near Detroit. After completing his residency, he worked as an urgent care physician and traveled as a locum tenens doctor in Michigan, the US Virgin Islands, and Washington. He then completed a sleep medicine fellowship at Banner Medical Center with the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he had the opportunity to work with one of the foremost experts in the field. During this time, he gained extensive experience in treating various sleep disorders beyond the more common ailments of sleep apnea and insomnia.

Subsequently, Dr. Desai joined a private sleep practice in Northern California before relocating to Austin in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. He played a critical role in the revitalization of Sleep Medicine Consultants in Austin and is dedicated to offering comprehensive sleep care to the people of Austin and the surrounding areas.

Dr. Desai now calls Austin, the capital of Texas, home and thoroughly enjoys the city's vibrant music scene, outdoor activities, culinary delights, and friendly residents.

Monique Mulvany, N.P.
Family Medicine, Sleep Medicine
Monique Sommer Mulvany is an accomplished Family Nurse Practitioner with a specialized focus on sleep disorders since 2006. With a wealth of knowledge and expertise, Monique is actively involved in current sleep-related research and provides exceptional patient care.

To enhance her understanding and skill in treating a wide range of sleep disorders, Monique has developed and maintained relationships with a national network of sleep medicine experts.
​
Originally from Brownwood, Texas, Monique received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, in 2000. She began her career working in Orthopedic, Neuro, and Spinal Trauma at Brackenridge Hospital, where she formed lasting relationships with colleagues and friends who continue to collaborate with her to this day. In 2006, Monique graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin, receiving her Master's Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Monique is married to John Mulvany, a local Irish-Texan artist and art educator, and is the proud mother of two sons, Henry and Cormac. As a passionate patient advocate, Monique is dedicated to helping her patients achieve a more fulfilling life through better sleep. When she is not providing compassionate care, Monique can be found tending to her beautiful East Austin garden, running along Lady Bird Lake, or attending the many art events in the vibrant city.

Radhika Nayak, MSN, FNP
Family Nurse Practitioner, Sleep Specialist
Radhika Nayak is a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner who possesses a deep dedication to sleep medicine and providing compassionate care to her patients.
Originally hailing from Mumbai, India, Radhika completed her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Texas at Austin. She then gained invaluable experience working as an ER nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital's trauma center in Chicago and later at Seton Medical Center in Austin (now Ascension Seton). Driven by her passion for healthcare, Radhika pursued a Masters degree at UT Austin, ultimately becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Throughout her career, she has served in various healthcare settings, including Family Practice, Hospice and Palliative care, before finding her calling in the field of sleep medicine.
Today, Radhika feels privileged to be able to pursue her passion for improving the lives of individuals within the Texas community by helping them achieve better sleep. She cherishes the opportunity to make a positive impact on her patients' well-being. When she is not actively treating and advocating for patients with sleep disorders, Radhika enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son. They take pleasure in exploring Austin's vibrant music scene and traveling whenever their busy schedules permit.

